Chapter Four – So Happy Together

The ride went on through the whole afternoon, night, until early morning of the next day. It was a mainly silent ride aside from the involuntary sounds of the motorcycle and the other vehicles with drivers who shared Sirius’ audacity for driving at all hours of day and night. Your stomach rumbled against Sirius’ back for the tenth time before he finally noticed the growing aggression of it and exited the highway. The early morning rays were pouring through the soft white clouds as he drove into the parking lot of an old looking diner.

“Get me a medium triple-triple coffee with a crispy chicken sandwich, a crème cheese bagel, some strawberry yogurt, a Caesar salad, and a chocolate chip cookie, please. Oh...and feel free to buy yourself something” you told Sirius as you passed him your purse. He stared at you incredulously.

“If you didn’t buy out the whole place…then yeah, okay, I’ll get something for myself” he said sarcastically; getting off the bike to go buy the food and leaving you to hold the heavy bike alone. ‘He better be quick’ you thought, wincing at the weight of it.

He came back a few minutes later with a tall dirty blonde headed boy with a white apron and round glass like James’ behind him. They were both carrying the breakfast bags and you could hardly wait to open them up.

“She’s the one you were talking about?” the stranger asked on the edge of laughter. Sirius nodded solemnly.

“Yup all of this is for her” he replied as you grabbed the bags from them and started to food up.

“Oh…food!” you murmured biting into the delicious finger-licking chicken sandwich. Sirius looked at the boy to his side smugly. The boy sighed in return while you ate.

“Fine you win…the foods on me” he stated as he walked back to the diner. You raised a brow at Sirius who shrugged in response and handed you your purse back.

“At least we got free food” he stated offhandedly.

Sirius pulled up in front of a white and beige house on a soft hill that was protected by gold gates that had the initials G and H on them. The gates opened slowly as Sirius drove through them and went up the pavement walkway that was trimmed with planted Lilies. You got off the bike and climbed up the steps leading to the deep colored wood front door carried both your stuff to the front door as Sirius parked the bike in front of the gray garage door.

“Should I ask where we are?” you thought aloud before timidly knocking on the door. You heard feet coming down the stairs of the house and yawns before it was finally opened.

“Hey Padfoot, Miel, what are you both doing here?” James asked as he readjusted his glasses. You squealed and dropped your bags in shock.

“JAMESIE!” you said as you nearly knocked him down with a strong hug.

“Help Pads, must have oxygen” he begged as Sirius laughed and reluctantly pulled you off of him. James led you both into the house with your stuff and settled in the living room.

“We’re just here for a while to visit” Sirius answered as James’ mom called for him through the house. “Tell you the rest of the details later.”

“Sirius?! Is that you? You got so big since the start of term!” a pretty woman with long straight black hair and light blue eyes gushed to him as she hugged him.

“Thanks, Mom” he replied lightly to her. She smiled warmly at him and then turned her head towards you.

“You must be Miel? James tells me that Sirius says a lot about you” she stated as Sirius threw his grinning friend a look. You blushed.

“Hopefully nothing too bad” you said quietly. She nodded.

“Are you two going to stay with us long? Lily’s coming over too so Miel, you and her can share a guest bedroom and Sirius can bunk with James. Twinkie’s great at preparing guestrooms…” she suggested looking from you to Sirius to get some confirmation. Sirius nodded at her then looked to you.

“I would love to stay, Thank you Mrs. Potter” you said lightly as she beamed.

“Good…good. I’ll leave you teenagers to talk” she stated as she exited the room. You looked at James slyly.

“So Lily’s coming, eh? Awe did you plan something romantic for you both?” you teased him as he blushed.

“You and Padfoot were the ones coming here with luggage…what they were no hotels open?” he returned as you threw a pillow at him and giggled as he rubbed his arm in pain. Sirius rolled his eyes in mock exasperation.

“Child these days…” he trailed off as you and James piled on top of him to his annoyance. “Why do I have such babyish people in my life?” You and James grinned evilly.

“You know you love us” James stated as the bell rang. Lily’s here!

*

You and Lily went to go put your stuff in your room as Sirius and James did the same thing in his. She turned to look at you with her emerald eyes sparking.

“This place is so wonderful?! Did you see the Lilies in the front of the house? Absolutely magnificent!” she exclaimed shook your head at her.

“Calm down, Hun. It’s peachy keen but anyway since Sirius is probably telling James I have to tell you something that’s really important and I don’t want you to scream, or lecture me until I’m done…because I know you will” you ended a bit remorsefully as she went to sit on one of the crimson colored room chairs.

“Okay, spill” she stated. You told her the whole bittersweet story and in the end she sat so motionless that if you didn’t know better you would have guessed that it turned her into a statue. “What the hell, Miel! This is completely stupid! Do you even know how much trouble you and Sirius will get into if your parents find out what you did?! This is unbelievable!” Okay, so a pissed, not so statuesque statue at that.

“Don’t be angry with me. I know this was dumb but you weren’t there…they were humorless about keeping me away from Sirius…I mean saying the m-word, no fooling, slap the taste out of your mouth, dead serious” you stated a-matter-of-factly as you sat beside her on the chair. “I couldn’t stand letting go of him…I won’t let them make me let go of him” you told her. She sighed and rubbed you head.

“Fine I give in. But you both better not do anything stupid because you in over you head with this as it is.”

“You’re actually going through with this whole ‘runaway’ with her, Padfoot?” James asked gravely. Sirius nodded and ran a hand through his hair.

“There’s nothing else to do. We go back and it’s over” he answered as the door opened slowly. You and Lily walked into the room and sat with them on the floor. James smiled softly as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

“What about trading places with Sirius and sleeping here with me tonight?” he tried as Sirius burst out in laughter.

“So what Miel and I can what…stare at each other all night? You would never let us have sex in your bed!” he stated laughing as you stifled a bit beside him. You didn’t know (and doubted) if he was still a virgin but you sure were...

“Ha-ha yeah Jamesie they’re so not trading” you said the laughter not quite covering your anxiousness. Sirius looked at you weirdly.

“Miel, you’re not still angry about the whole ‘touching’ thing at my Uncle’s house? I was just joking” he told you in concern as you turned to look at Lily instead of him.

“No, no, of course not, I just, ummm, you know what? Let me go and help with the preparations—wouldn’t want to be putting your parents out. C’mon Lily” you told him flustered then ran out the door with a confused Lily at your heels. James and Sirius turned to each other resolutely.

“She isn’t ready to go all the way, you shouldn’t make jokes” James stated as Sirius’ jaw dropped.

“How was I suppose to know?” he retorted. James sighed.

“She’s your girlfriend” he replied in teasing condescension.

“You know how easy girls are to read for me. As easy as memorizing one of Moony’s freaking dictionaries!” Sirius replied testily.

“Whatever. You’re going to have to do something” James began again.

“Such as?” Sirius propped as his best friend grinned.

“Talk to her of course and I thought I was daft. I’m joking Padfoot don’t give me that look!

*

You sat listening to Mrs. Potter and Lily talk about one thing or another—so listening isn’t the best word—appearing to be listening--until Sirius’ and James’ appearance at kitchen door.

“Oh shoot, I left the bathroom water running. Pads, could you and Miel check it out for me?” James asked. You nodded slowly and got up not knowing that the rest of the kitchen inhabited were throwing Sirius silent good lucks. You stepped into the floral decorated bathroom with Sirius and saw with vague annoyed that James hand not forgotten to turn off the water.

“We’re going to have to bring James for a check up at St. Mungo’s one day. His hallucinations are becoming more and more exceptional” you quibbled as Sirius shut the door behind you quickly and sent his mouth on a one-way trip to yours. You pushed away from his strong grip to take in some much needed air.

“Sirius, what’s gotten into you?” you said with a developing smile as he ran his hands through his hair as he panted.

“I don’t want you to think that you have to…give me more then you’re ready to give. No pressure…okay, Miel?” he stated as you lingered over to him making him back up to the door.

“No pressure at all” you purred softly tracing his lips with your fingertips then brought them down his chest. He lowered his head and took your hands in his.

“You don’t have to…” he trailed as you shushed him impatiently and brought his hands to your hips.

“Oh, I want to…” you corrected him before you continued the delightfully exploration of Sirius’ lips.

*

The Potters and Lily went to look for you and Sirius before they started up with Lunch. It would have been rude of them to start without you two. They searched the bedrooms to no avail then continued their search in the bathrooms. Lily sighed.

“I don’t think we’ll them here” she said a-matter-of-factly. Mr. Potter—who had come home early from work for Lunch—laughed.

“You would think that…” he mused as James unlocked the last door with his wand to find you straddling Sirius from on top of the toilet seat. You brushed crimson and stood up. Sirius’ hair was rumpled and his shirt lay on the floor while tell-tale handprints littered his chest. Your Shoulders were covered in ‘love marks’ a.k.a. hickies and your lip-gloss was smeared on and around your lips. The intruders all raised their eyebrows at you both as James sighed.

“Padfoot man, this whole no sex rule with Miel covers the whole house” he stated teasingly before Lily punched him at the arm. When will he learn?

*

Lunch was eaten silently at the Potter table. Mr. Potter left for work again leaving you all the stare at each other. The quiet began to wear you down—along with insistent grinning. You turned to Mrs. Potter sadly.

“Madam, I’m sorry for what happened. Even though it wasn’t my complete fault—Sirius has temptation written all over him—but I feel guilty for my randy behavior. Sorry” you told her. She stared at you indignantly.

“First of all, Hun, call me mom or Linda—I don’t like people swearing in my house. Secondly, you and Sirius aren’t children. You both can be trusted to make decisions by yourselves but please not in front of poor, Jamsie” she stated teasingly while James made fake gagging sounds. Only Jamsie!

Lmao! Yupz! Next chappy has more You/Sirius action and James’ magical moments. Lolz! Stay tuned!~

I've just got to ask . . . were you hungry when you wrote these chapters? All the house-elves have food for names . . . . . . .
